Python

Getting started with algo trading? Learn how to request a list of market scanners with our API GitHub Guide. The function reqScannerParameters retrieves a list of TWS scanners. See the following examples from our GitHub Python Guide:

First, envoke the function self.reqScannerParameters()

Next, explore the scannerParameters to get a string of all XML-formatted parameters like so:

class TestWrapper(wrapper.EWrapper):

def scannerParameters(self, xml: str):
super().scannerParameters(xml)
open('log/scanner.xml', 'w').write(xml)
print("ScannerParameters received.")

For additional info, visit the Scanner Example and Parameter pages on GitHub for samples in Java, C++ and C#.

Please note that a maximum of 50 results per scan code is implemented.
